The Strathmore & District Agricultural Society is dedicated to becoming the place in Canada to receive training for developing rodeo athletes. Each August following Strathmore Stampede, but prior to the start of the High School Rodeo season, The Ag Society will host its annual rodeo school. The School will consistently collaborate with excellent and experienced coaches and provide a school at a reasonable price.  The School will focus on High School athletes because there is a great need for knowledgeable, age appropriate coaching and livestock so that students can safely transition and grow into the sport. In 2019, this was launched as a pilot project, with a Jr. Bull Riding School. The School was a huge success, with full enrollment and very positive feedback.

In 2020 the School expanded to add Bareback and Bronc Riding Clinics, in 2021 added Barrel Racing and in 2022 added Breakaway. Each school clinic will award a genuine Strathmore Ag Society Rodeo School Buckle to a student who excels.  This School aligns with the Ag Society’s mission to serve and grow the agricultural community and is a step towards establishing Strathmore as the heart of rodeo and the development of its athletes in Alberta.
